Improving the reliability of a College Tech Tower Lift
Overview
Working with Activate Learning and the College directly we were asked to provide a competitive comparative quote to improve the reliability of the Technology Tower Lift. It had been isolated by another company due to the failure of the 30-year-old motor and gearbox assembly.
What We Did
We replaced the motor & gearbox assembly complete with a new non-proprietary lift control system utilising VVVF control technology, full rewire, all associated signalling equipment, push buttons, digital display equipment & the door operator also to VVVF technology coupled with bringing the lift in line with current legislation for safe working on lifts.
Outcome
A reliable, energy efficient lift meeting current statutory requirements.
